The Cambridge Tutor Company was founded on a simple but powerful idea: that families deserve a trusted, professional tutoring service led by experienced teachers.

Co-founders Carl Cerny and Simon Dickens bring decades of leadership in some of the UK’s highest-achieving schools. Carl and Simon both recognised that parents want more than just subject knowledge. They want tutors who understand how children learn, who have marked thousands of exam papers, and who bring the pastoral expertise that comes only from years of teaching and mentoring students.

What began as a local, word-of-mouth service has grown into a national company with offices in Cambridge and a reputation for excellence. Families recommend us because of our proven track record: students move from grade 5s to 8s at GCSE, achieve grade 9s and A*s, secure their first-choice schools, and celebrate Oxbridge offers.

Today, The Cambridge Tutor Company is home to a growing team of exceptionally skilled and experienced tutors. Every member of our team is a fully qualified teacher with a background in high-achieving schools, many also serving as examiners for the leading exam boards.
