Our English Literature tutors are experts not only in the texts studied at both GCSE and A-Level English Literature but also in helping students to convey their ideas and structure their arguments effectively, in essays and exams. Texts that we've taught include: An Inspector Calls, Macbeth, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, A Christmas Carol, Lord of the Flies, Jane Eyre, Romeo and Juliet, Things Fall Apart, Twelfth Night, Othello, A Streetcar Named Desire.

(Exam board experience includes AQA, OCR, iGCSE, Edexcel, WJEC Eduqas and the International Baccalaureate). 

As a compulsory GCSE, English Language is vitally important, and our tutors have intimate knowledge of the precise requirements of all major exam boards, as well as many years experience in teaching pupils in the classroom. Much like English Literature, English Language is integral to academic success since, by enhancing reading and writing skills, students are better equipped to handle academic assignments and exams in other subjects as well.

The university application process can be a daunting one, and The Cambridge Tutor Company tutors have supported hundreds of their own pupils through the process for both UK and international settings, and have led the UCAS subject process in their own schools. We offer comprehensive support for all aspects of the process, including statement support, entrance exam support and interview preparation.

Whilst we have specific skills in the English, Creative arts and Humanities subjects when it comes to University applications, we are also able to support pupils in other subjects with statement and interview preparation.
